For $31 million, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan sell their San Francisco home.

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have sold one of their San Francisco homes for $31 million in an off-market deal, a spokesperson for the family confirmed.

Although the deal was completed on July 1, the documents have only recently been made available to the public.

A grant deed between the seller and the buyer was signed on SFRP’s behalf by Na’eem Salaam, the vice president of operations of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

The buyer was a limited liability company based in Delaware, PropertyShark records show. 

When the couple bought the home 10 years ago, it was about 1,800 square feet smaller

At a period when San Francisco was witnessing the first indications of a tech takeover, its sale price most certainly established a record for the Mission District.

A few weeks after it was advertised, the price was reduced to slightly under $5 million, and it was removed from the market earlier this month.

Currently, it is available to rent for $11,000 per month.
