New pictures of Neptune are sent back by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope.

The first images of Neptune from NASA's James Webb Space Telescope are the eighth planet's best views

from the Sun's rings in more than 30 years, according to the space agency on Thursday.

According to a NASA news release, the new photographs provide a "crisp" look of the ice giant planet's rings.

Since NASA's Voyager 2 became the first spacecraft to observe Neptune in 1989,

several of those rings have not been discovered.

The planet's fuzzier dust bands are also visible on the Webb.

Moreover, seven of the 14 known moons of Neptune were photographed by the Webb telescope.
