ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੀਯੂ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀਕਰਨ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ‘ਚ ਪਾਸ ਹੋਏ ਮਤੇ ਦਾ ਐੱਮਪੀ ਰਾਘਵ ਚੱਢਾ ਨੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਂਝਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ‘ਚ ਪੀਯੂ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ‘ਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ‘ਚ ਸੀਐੱਮ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੜੱਪਣ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਕਦਮ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਸਰਬਸੰਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਤਾ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।
